The short way in. This is the opening of the It’s All About Respect program paired with its diversity and inclusion opening, for people who need the frame before the detail — a new hire in their first week, or a team being introduced to the library.

It sets out what the whole program is about: workplace behavior, the do’s and don’ts, the rights and wrongs, the acceptable and the unacceptable — and the distinction people miss, that some rules of behavior are set by law and others are set by your own organization, so knowing one is not knowing the other. It introduces the presenters, three employment lawyers from Ogletree Deakins with nearly 80 years of combined experience advising employers, and tells you what the rest of the library will do: show conduct that breaks workplace rules and sometimes the law, teach you how to speak up, and make clear that harassment and discrimination come in different levels of severity.

It then adds the inclusion half of the frame — the difference between having a diverse workplace and actually including people in it.

Who it’s for: first-time learners, onboarding, or anyone deciding where to start.

This is a curated entry point assembled from the library’s opening material — the same footage appears in Sexual Harassment (Employee) and in Diversity and Inclusion. Take it as an introduction, not as additional content.

Common questions

What is this, exactly?

The short way in. It pairs the opening of the It's All About Respect program with its diversity and inclusion opening, for someone who needs the frame before the detail, such as a new hire in their first week or a team being introduced to the library.

Is this additional content, or material from the other courses?

It is assembled from the library's opening material. The same footage appears in Sexual Harassment (Employee) and in Diversity and Inclusion. Take it as an introduction, not as additional content.

What does it actually cover?

What the whole program is about: workplace behavior, the do's and don'ts, the acceptable and the unacceptable, and the distinction people miss, that some rules of behavior are set by law and others are set by your own organization. It introduces the three Ogletree Deakins employment lawyers who present the library, and adds the difference between having a diverse workplace and actually including people in it.

Who is it for, and how is it structured?

First-time learners, onboarding, or anyone deciding where to start. Two video chapters, drawn from the programme's opening material. Progress saves as you go and a certificate is issued on completion. The course also carries knowledge checks; they are being re-matched to this footage, so treat the videos as the content of record.
